We live in Utah now!!

We packed up our house in Fresno in one week with the help of some amazing friends!

A special thanks to Katy, Chris, Aaron, Lacy and Kyle. We couldn't have done it without you guys! We arrived in Utah exactly two weeks ago. Aaron drove the moving truck pulling the Mitsubishi behind it and I drove behind him in the Jeep the whole way. The trip was painfully slow. The truck would only accelerate (if you can even call it that) to 35 mph on the hills and we were driving in the mountains, so needless to say, we went VERY VERY slow. LOL. We had to stop and sleep several times before we finally (and thanks to our guardian angels) made it to our hotel in Utah. The drive the next morning the rest of the way to Utah was wonderful. I got to chat with my mom for a majority of the trip, so that was fun to kind of do the move "together."

Once we actually got to Aaron's mom's (where we are living for now) I truly realized how wonderful having a big family would be. We had so many people there to help us move in and we knocked it out in a heartbeat. It took us a week to pack everything up and a couple hours to unload and unpack. It was unbelievable. I've never known family like that. It's such a great picture of Christ's love for us. We have gone to baseball games, church, dinners, soccer games, t-ball games, restaurants... and not just the two of us anymore... with our family. :) It makes me so happy to get to spend time with all of them. They're all so wonderful.

My heart feels full, although there's an aching in it... I miss my mom, Lacey, Lacey's family and my friends more than I can handle. I wish all of them could move here and experience this beautiful life with me. I know that's impossible. It's going to be harder than I thought to be away from them. I feel so blessed to have such a strong support group here, tho, and I know I will see those that I miss as often as possible.

Thank you to everyone who stood by us through the trial of uncertainty while we had to fully trust in our Savior. It was definitely one of the biggest trials we've ever been through together, but I can see now that God's perfect timing was perfect for us as well. Isn't it funny how it always seems to work that way?

So now life consists of discovering what God has planned for us here, looking for a job, spending time with family, starting school (Go Utes!), building new relationships, enjoying the beautiful summer weather, missing people I love in Cali, & going to sporting events.
